Asheboro Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center was founded in 1997 by Dr. Todd Williams.  The practice, which emphasized both general and surgical dermatology (including Mohs Surgery) became busy quickly.  Skin cancer is diagnosed and treated with every reasonable modality (Excision, EDC and Mohs Surgery).  Common skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and warts are frequently managed, but rare skin diseases are also encountered and treated.  We are experts in systemic therapies such as Biologic agents, used for Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis, and Accutane (Isotretinoin), which is used for acne.

As the practice became busier, Dr. Williams needed some help, and his dear friend, Dr. Steve Kimmel, came on board in the late 90s.  Dr. Kimmel came highly skilled in both general and surgical dermatology and able to treat patients of all ages.  Patients from Randolph County and adjacent counties relied on the Asheboro Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center for their skin treatment.

As the DSSC continued to experience growth, more professional colleagues were needed.  Fortunately, both Gay Markham, an outstanding adult nurse practitioner, and Donna Jennings, a certified physician assistant, joined the DSSC team.  Gay specialized in primarily teens and adults, and Donna saw all age groups.  Donna also happened to be bilingual and this attribute was valuable with the large local Hispanic population.

All of the providers at the Dermatology and Skin Surgery Centers are skilled in skin cancer treatment (including skin cancer surgery) and all aspects of general dermatology.  The patient population in Asheboro, Archdale, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove and the surrounding areas of Randolph County are fabulous. Asheboro Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center is blessed to be a part of this community.
